CSIT is known for doing innovative and knowledge based programs. Induction program is organized, since its inception, for first year student of all seven branches. The motive behind Induction Programme is to give an orientation about- the scopes of branches, Roles of Engineers, the CSIT, its staff members and about the CSIT culture. Through this Induction Program, the students also get to know the glory of CSIT and their faculty, their departments and the management of the college.
The Programme has been helping the student community as it has been boosting the confidence in learning, and imbibing socio-academic values.
CSIT celebrates its Foundation Day every year on 6 September. On this auspicious occasion various prizes are distributed to students for their excellent performances in academics, co-curricular activities and for maintaining attendance. The faculties are also awarded for results and their contributions in the field of Research and Development.
The year 2018 witnessed the 19th Foundation Day. The Ceremony was organized at the prestigious Vivekananda Hall of the institute amidst the valuable presence of the Board of Directors, Chairman- Er Ajay Prakash Verma, Director- Dr. Anurag Verma, heads of the Departments, faculty members, staff and student fraternity. The parents of the awrdee students also joined in to make the ceremony a personal pride for everyone. The parents of University topper and semester topper of all branches are invited for receiving the cash award. Our 13 University topper and 47 semester topper (B.E. & M.Tech) were nominated for this award. Certificates were given to the student’s association, post holders and students who had attendance more than 95% were given reward. Certificates of Appreciation were distributed to faculties, who had brought laurels to the Institute.
Teacher’s day is celebrated all across India every year on 5th of September to pay tribute to the teachers for their precious contributions in study as well as towards the society and country. For all students of CSIT, Teachers’ Day is like an occasion and opportunity to pay tribute and gratitude to their teachers for their continuous, selfless and precious efforts in shaping the future. A huge preparation is done by the students to honour the occasion. On 5 September 2018, the students organized a a grand function laden with speeches and cultural programmes. The Chief Guest of the function, Director Dr. Anurag Verma addressed the gathering after Saraswati Poojan. Dr. Verma said that the value of teachers will always remain high as long as knowledge remains at the top in human society.
On the Auspicious occasion of the birthday of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, an eminent founder & Engineer of our beloved Country, CSIT celebrates Engineers day on 15 September every years marking the importance of Engineers in Society.
This year the event was celebrated in grand style. The celebration aimed to bring out and enhance the potential engineering skills which reside in every student. Chairman Er. Ajay Prakash Verma spoke about the need of excellent engineers in contemporary society. Director, Dr. Anurag Verma shared his experience about technology and technical changes.
E-TAP, Technical Education Awareness Program is an initiative of CSIT to introduce School Students to the various Branches of Engineering and related career options. The program was successfully organized for the 10th season this year. The aim is to make students aware about various branches so that they can assess their potential to select the best career opportunity for them. The students were informed about 12 Engineering Branches along with job opportunities in these branches and the industries providing these jobs. The students were given knowledge about courses under Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai.
73th Independence Day was celebrated on 15 August 2019 to commemorate India's freedom from British rule and its birth as a sovereign nation on that day in 1947. It was the luckiest day of year 1947 when India became independent after lots of hard struggle and sacrifices of the Indian freedom fighters. Homage is paid to those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our country. The Independence Day reminds us of those patriots who fought and suffered to win freedom for us. The day was celebrated with the theme “Unity in Diversity” and various programs were performed to pay tribute to our Freedom Fighters.
All the people irrespective of their caste, look and creed celebrate this day every year amidst great rejoicing. On this day we take a pledge to defend our freedom with all our might.
The 70th anniversary of Republic Day was celebrated in CSIT campus with zeal on 26th of January 2019. Indian Republic Day commemorates the date on which the Constitution of India came into force and it became fully sovereign nation. It was on this day that the constitution of India was framed .Without it, the law, democracy, citizen rights wouldn't be possible. The day began with flag hoisting and speech given by Chairman, Director and Principal followed by various cultural program such as dance, patriotic songs, drama and poem.
Republic Day is not just a national holiday, but to celebrate the rich heritage, vivid culture, diversity of India .We should all feel the patriotism and be proud to be an Indian.
